  • Founded a free public chess club at the Asian Community Center, growing attendance to 100+ weekly.
  • Led lessons to help participants build chess strategy and shared a passion for the game with the community.

2022 – 2023
  • Prepared and delivered testimony before the NYC Council advocating for improved school cafeteria conditions.
  • Helped secure $250 million to renovate all NYC middle and high school cafeterias, affecting 1.1 million students.

Chess in the Schools Tournament Program

  • Built and led a team of 15+ tournament directors to run 25 tournaments a year for 300–600 student participants.
  • Certified as a Local Tournament Director by the United States Chess Federation.
